BIO
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Karen Tusa is an award winning Actress and Producer. Karen is a Member of the Television Academy under the Producer's Peer Group (The Emmys), a Location Manager & Location Scout Full member of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) with many credits to date, a member of the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) out of Hollywood and on the Awards committee for both Feature Films and TV Content for the LMGI Awards, as well as a member of ACTRA. Karen has also sat on various juries and screening committees for Esteemed Film Festivals and Awards including on the Screening committee for the Whistler Film Festival, Blue Ribbon Judge of the Daytime Emmys and Blue Ribbon Judge for the Children's & Family Emmys, judge for Television Academy Spring Internship, College Television Awards and is the Marketing Director of the Winnipeg Real to Reel Film Festival.

She has appeared in many films and commercials and decided to help out behind the scenes as a Producer using her large connection of industry contacts. She also comes from a background in Finance & Insurance. She has been Producer on many projects to date and co-owned a Production Company Lucky 9 Productions Inc.
All her films have won multiple awards. Some highlights: Producer on Five True Friends that has won 13 awards with 12 award nominations to date including Golden Sheaf Award at Yorkton Film Festival for Best Scripted, Producer on A Birthday Tale that has won 9 awards to date and just entered the festival circuit, Producer on Jenny & Jeff Mini-series: The series went on to win 16 awards all over the world including 5 in Los Angeles, CA and nominated for over 35 awards screening at festivals worldwide. Distribution offers and a TV series based on this series was requested from Fremantle Company. Producer on Closing Time Documentary. It won Best Documentary at the World Premiere Film Awards in Ottawa and nominated for Best Documentary Short and screened in Long Beach, California at Long Beach Indie Film Festival. It was acquired by CBC Land & Sea for national broadcast and is available on Gem, Roku and Apple TV. So, What Do You Think? has won 7 awards and is streaming on Amazon Prime.
Karen was also President/CEO of Family Friendly Video Inc., (Canadian based operation for US Company) Karen successfully ran this company which rented and sold Family Friendly and Faith-based movies all over the world.
